NAGEV

HIT / Studio course

NAGEV is a set of tools for making and serving homemade labneh, dedicated to the memory of my grandmother, who lived her entire life on a kibbutz. Although she didn't know how to cook, she was known for her exceptional labneh. The tools, made from locally-sourced terracotta clay, are designed to formalize the traditional improvisation of labneh preparation into a ceremonial centerpiece for communal meals. The pattern formed on the cheese is a tribute to the traditional shapes used in presenting labneh, making it the focal point of the table.

Materials: terracotta, yogurt.
